We aimed to re-create the taste and feel of Grandma’s pancakes, but with a recipe you can use in your diet guilt-free. One of the hardest challenges with protein pancakes is making them thin, but we have done it! You will be very pleased with the results. All you need is water, you won’t need anything else (unless you want something really special). Its valuable protein content comes from whey and egg whites.
Wholemeal oatmeal contains flour, which is also high in protein, not to mention collagen. Be warned: tasting these pancakes might ruin all the other pancakes out there for you once and for all. :-)

We can't help it, we LOVE pancakes. But the traditional version isn’t exactly shape-friendly.
If you look around the market you will realize that most pancake powders don't contain nearly enough protein and that they have much higher carbohydrate content as well. We could have made ours just from protein powder, but that way the texture would not come close to the real deal, let alone the taste. We experimented with the recipe for several months, but after trying it you will agree that it was worth every minute. :-)
So what is Collagen anyway?
Collagen is the most common protein in the body, accounting for almost a third of the body’s total protein content. The most important structural protein in cells is collagen itself, which is found in most connective tissues, as well as muscles and joints. Supplementing it can increase muscle flexibility and extensibility. The human body itself is capable of producing natural collagen, but after around age 25 your natural production of it slows down. Insufficient collagen levels can cause your skin to loose elasticity, wrinkles to appear and deepen and joints to weaken. One common supplemental form of is the hydrolyzed collagen we used for the pancake powder.

It's very simple! Mix 1 serving (50g) of Peak Protein Pancake Powder with 120 ml of water or milk (can be lactose-free or plant-based). Heat up your pan before you start cooking the pancakes. Then just pour the pancake batter into your pan and quickly swirl it around so it spreads evenly. It is that easy.
Tip: Mixing is easier in a shaker
You can also use a Calorie-Free Oil Spray on the pan, if you have the sticky kind.
