Debit card payment via OTP Bank system
You can already shop online with your Maestro card!
Dear Customer,
For our webshop, OTP Bank Plc. provides the possibility of card acceptance through its secure card acceptance system using the SSL protocol. When paying by debit or credit card, you will be redirected to the payment page of OTP Bank, so the payment will be made directly on the page operated by the Bank and operating in accordance with the rules and security regulations of international card companies, so not on the website.
The online store does not have the data, number or expiration date of your card or the account behind it in any form, nor it can gain insight into it.
Please prepare your card! To pay by debit or credit card, you will need the following information:
● Card number (13-19-digit number embossed or printed on the front of the card).
● Expiration date (The number on the front of the card is embossed or printed in mm/yy format.)
● Validation code (The last three digits of the number line on the back of the card in the signature panel are {CVV2 or CVC2}. If your card does not have such a code, please leave the relevant field on the payment page blank!)
You can pay in our store with the following card types:
● MasterCard (embossed)
● Visa (embossed)
● American Express (embossed)
● Electron (non-embossed) - For these cards, the issuing bank determines whether it allows the card to be used online. If the bank that issued your Electron card has authorized the use of the card on the Internet, you can of course pay with your card in our online store. Please contact the bank that issued your card for accurate information. Cards issued by OTP Bank are of course acceptable.
● Maestro - Maestro cards issued by any bank are acceptable on the OTP Bank's Internet payment interface. Acceptance is conditional on the bank issuing your card whether it is also supporting the use of Maestro cards for e-commerce transactions. Please consult your bank!
In order to further increase the security of Internet card acceptance, OTP Bank has introduced the Verified by Visa/MasterCard Secure Code (VbV/MSC) service. The essence of the service is that the bank issuing the card used for payment provides the cardholder with some additional identification option, which is checked during the transaction and clearly identifies the person using the card.
If the VbV/MSC service is not available at the bank issuing your card or you have not requested it, the payment process will not change. The webshop will redirect you to the OTP page, where you will enter your card details (card number, expiration date, validation code) and the consideration for the purchased goods/services will be paid.
If your bank has the VbV/MSC service and you use it, the payment transaction process will change.
You must still enter your card details (card number, expiration date, validation code) on OTP Bank's payment interface. However, the Bank will then automatically redirect you to the appropriate page on the bank that issued your card, where you will need to complete the identification process. After successful identification, the payment transaction will continue, you will be notified of the success of the transaction and will be redirected to the webshop interface. If you cannot perform the authentication, the transaction will fail.
