Responding to growing health awareness and growing evidence of the negative health effects of a fibre-deficient diet, Matsutani, the largest modified starch company in Japan, has developed the world's first all-natural corn-derived soluble dietary fibre, called "Fibersol-2" (Resistant Dextrin/Maltodextrin).
It is a highly concentrated white, free-flowing powder that is easily dispersible in liquid, low calorie, clear, tasteless solution. There is a wealth of research demonstrating that fibre plays a vital role in digestive, heart and skin health, and Fibersol-2 has been scientifically proven to have a number of excellent physiological and health benefits, such as lowering blood sugar levels, preventing the accumulation of visceral fat in the body, supporting weight management and weight control by delaying after-meal hunger.
It is therefore best suited for those with high blood sugar levels or who consume high fat foods, and is beneficial for anyone interested in improving their health.
In addition to these health benefits, Fibersol-2 is very safe, economical and easy to use. Numerous studies support its safety, and even at high levels of use, Fibersol-2 does not affect the taste or appearance of food. It disperses quickly, dissolves well and is stable under virtually all conditions, with no taste, flavour or colour.
In addition, Fibersol-2 can be used in a myriad of applications with minimal formulation adjustment, making it perfect for both food preparers and consumers.
Fibersol-2 can be used to improve the nutrient profile and increase the fibre content in any food application without compromising taste, quality and consumer enjoyment.

Dietary fibre is one of the food components that has great health benefits. The digestive system in particular benefits from an adequate supply, which unfortunately is often not covered by the normal diet. Digestive Fiber makes up for the deficiencies in fibre nutrition with a delicious fibre supplement. The 7g of fibre contains both water-soluble and water-insoluble representatives in a sophisticated matrix for optimum efficiency.
What is the functionality and mechanism of action of Digestive Fibre?
Dietary fibre is a component of foods of primarily plant origin. They are present as so-called polysaccharides, usually in the form of long, tasteless sugar chains, or more precisely "non-starchy polysaccharides". These food components play an important role in our diet.
According to various sources, the total fibre requirement is 38 g per day for men up to the age of 50 and 25 g per day for women up to the age of 50. Above the age of 50, 30 g for men and 21 g for women are considered adequate.
The amount is rarely consumed in the normal mixed diet and therefore deficiencies occur regularly. Particularly in a society that is increasingly turning to processed foods, this deficiency is becoming more pronounced. The broader concept of dietary fibre is further broken down into water-soluble fibre and water-insoluble fibre. Both in their own way aid digestion and have a positive effect on the gut microbiome. They are optimal conditions to be essential components of the digestive fibre matrix.
Water-soluble dietary fibres such as inulin, pectin or oligofructose are known to ensure that food stays in the stomach for longer and thus contribute to a feeling of fullness. The absorption of water from dietary fibre also increases the volume of the food pulp, leading to increased stimulation of the intestinal wall and thus stimulating intestinal motility.
This stimulates digestion and reduces the length of time the food remains in the intestine. This mechanism, caused by the properties of dietary fibre, is the reason for the positive effects on digestion and intestinal health. Water-soluble fibre is also said to play an important role in maintaining a healthy, balanced gut flora, regulated blood sugar levels and normal cholesterol levels.
Non-water-soluble dietary fibre binds only very small amounts of water. This property is mainly responsible for increasing the volume of faeces and thus allowing toxins and waste products in the faeces to pass more quickly from the intestine.
New is the patented Fibersol®-2, a patented dietary fibre derived from maize.
Fibersol®-2 has been shown to increase the amount of good bacteria in the gut, which contributes to healthy gut flora. Another positive effect is that it increases feelings of satiety, which also supports weight loss. Its effect on improving bowel function and reducing hunger has been proven in over 200 studies to date.
What other benefits does Digestive Fiber have?
- Its gentle cleansing action cleanses the intestinal lining, changing the composition of your gut flora for the better.
- The proliferation of beneficial gut bacteria increases, which strengthens your immune system and makes you more resistant to disease.
- The beneficial bacteria in your colon break down the fibre mix into fatty acids that inhibit cholesterol absorption. In other words, they have a long-term cholesterol-protective effect.
- In addition, it can also be used as a natural detoxifier, as it removes heavy metals from the human body, helping to eliminate toxic substances as quickly as possible.
How to use Digestive Fiber when you're on a diet - Recipe tips!
The basic usage is as follows. Instantly dissolved and ready to drink!
Brutal diet breakfast against hunger: mix 30 grams of protein powder with one serving of Digestive Fiber and 350 ml of water. The apple flavour of Digestive Fiber makes it the best protein with vanilla, apple pie, coconut or something chocolatey! You get almost all of your protein in, yet with a thick, lactating texture!
Tip:
- You can even mix in your Peak collagen! "Get beautiful and lose weight" cocktail :)
- Even better with cinnamon!
A filling, yet low calorie porridge recipe - that won't leave you hungry until lunch!
Mix 20 grams of Slim Secret protein powder with one scoop of Digestive Fiber, a small cup of yoghurt and 250-300 ml of water. You can add extra oats and, if your diet allows it, a little seed mix. This is a particularly high-fibre breakfast, with the benefit that your rumbling guts won't be humming the final countdown to lunchtime.
Eat it in the evening! If you're prone to binge eating at night, make sure you have a portion of this at bedtime. It'll also slow down the absorption of your dinner, plus satiate you.
The perfect satiating fit dinner: 30 grams of Slim protein or 125 grams of low-fat cottage cheese - mixed with a serving of Daily Fiber and 250-350 ml of water. Fast absorbing protein is also perfect as the fibre slows down its absorption!
